A: To apply for an ITIN, you'll need a valid passport. If you don't have a passport then you need an original birth certificate, as well as an identification card. Please be sure to make sure all of your materials are valid and up to date.
Q: What do I need to apply for a dependent's ITIN?
A: Like an ITIN, you will need a passport to apply for a dependent's ITIN. If you do not have one, you'll need an original birth certificate, shot record, a physical, a school letter confirming that the dependent is in school, a report card and a picture.
Q: What do I need for my first time filing with you?
A: For your first visit, you'll need:
• Your W-2 for the years that you are going to file
• Valid ID
• Dependents SSN cards (If applicable)
• A birth certificate
• Any additional tax information that you're planning to claim
